How To Make Email Address The Simple Way

If you're new to the world of the internet, one of the first things you'll need to is to figure out how to create an email address.  An email address is just like a street address - it helps people figure out where to send electronic mail addressed to you.  If you have an email address, you can receive emails messages from friends and family members.  They can also send you pictures or videos.  You can also receive coupons and advertisements.

If you're wondering how to make email address, the first thing you'll need to do is pick a company to get your address from.  Gmail, Yahoo mail, and Hotmail (MSN) are common companies - you can look for them online.  Another easy way how to make email address is to get it through your ISP (the company that provides your email or Internet connection, either as a Dial Up, ADSL, and Broadband etc.)  You can call them and they will walk you through how to get an email address.

If you've decided that you would like to get email through a company online which basically gives you what is called a web mail - you will be able to read your e-mail in a web browser like Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari, such as Yahoo, you will first need to get to their webpage.  Type the name of the email company into a search browser to find their webpage.  They will most likely have something to click on that will say "set up a new account" or "sign up" or "get email".  Click on that to proceed. Some companies have an online tutorial or how-to instructions and tips.

You will then be asked for some basic information about yourself.  If you are worried about your privacy, just give as little information as possible.  You can also make up a fake name if you want, but that will make it harder for people to find you.  Usually, you only have to give them a little bit of information - they mark the required boxes with a star or another symbol or bold.  The rest of the information boxes are optional.

One of the things you will need to do when you sign up is pick an email address.  This is, like we already mentioned, just like your street address.  It helps if you make it a word that is easy to remember and easy for other people to associate with you.  A good option for how to set up an email address could be a combination of your first and last name.  If your name is John A. Smith, for example, an email address could be jsmith or jasmith.

Often times, because there are so many people out there with email addresses, somebody has already taken the address you want!  How to make email address if this happens is to put a number after the address you want - for example, you could use jsmith905 or jsmith215.  Once again, try to make it a number that is easy to remember.  You should do the same with the password you select - pick one that is easy to remember!  You can also write down your password and hide it somewhere. It is also good if you have an extra email address, if you loose your password in one account, you can recover your lost password via the other account.

This has been a brief "howto" to get you started on How to make email address and I hope I have pointed you in the right direction.
